The finish is a little rough, like its casted aluminum instead of machined smooth. Understandable due to the price point. The stand has some flex due to the design of the arms if you rest your hands on the laptop, but overall is very sturdy. Love the holes that can be used for cable routing. Has enough padding for both the laptop and desk, the padding feels great. For the price, I can definitely recommend.
